भीष्मभीमसमागमः — Bhīṣma–Bhīma Strategic Engagement and Counsel to the King
ते हन्यमाना: पार्थन भीष्म शान्तनवं ययु: । अगाधे मज्जमानानां भीष्म: पोतो5भवत् तदा
te hanyamānāḥ pārthān bhīṣmaśāntanavaṁ yayuḥ | agādhe majjamānānāṁ bhīṣmaḥ poto 'bhavat tadā ||
Sañjaya nói: Khi bị đánh gục, các chiến sĩ đều quay về phía Bhīṣma, con của Śāntanu. Với những kẻ đang chìm trong vực sâu khôn dò của chiến trận, Bhīṣma khi ấy trở thành như một chiếc thuyền vượt bến—chỗ nương tựa tức thời và phương tiện đưa họ qua khỏi hiểm nguy.
