अध्याय ८० — मध्यंदिन-रणवृत्तान्तः

जित्वा तु द्रुपदं द्रोण: शड्खं दध्मौ प्रतापवान् । तस्य शड्खस्वनं श्रुत्वा वित्रेसु: सर्वमोमका:,द्रपदको जीतकर प्रतापी द्रोणाचार्यने अपना शंख बजाया। उस शंखनादको सुनकर समस्त सोमक क्षत्रिय अत्यन्त भयभीत हो गये
jitvā tu drupadaṁ droṇaḥ śaṅkhaṁ dadhmau pratāpavān | tasya śaṅkhasvanaṁ śrutvā vitrēsuḥ sarva-somakāḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: Sau khi khuất phục Drupada, Droṇa hùng dũng thổi tù và. Nghe tiếng tù và ấy, toàn thể chiến sĩ Somaka đều kinh hãi rúng động.
