ततो दृष्टवा प्रधावन्तं गदाहस्तं महाबलम् । सर्वेषामेव सैन्यानां संहर्ष: समजायत
tato dṛṣṭvā pradhāvantaṃ gadāhastaṃ mahābalam | sarveṣām eva sainyānāṃ saṃharṣaḥ samajāyata ||
Sañjaya nói: Rồi khi thấy vị dũng sĩ đại lực ấy—sức mạnh phi thường—tay cầm chùy lao thẳng lên phía trước, khắp mọi đạo quân đều dâng trào một cơn phấn khích và khí thế chiến trận.
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores a psychological-ethical dynamic of war: the visible resolve and power of a leading fighter can ignite collective ardor across armies, strengthening determination but also accelerating violence—reminding readers that emotions like exhilaration and pride can drive large-scale action.
Sanjaya reports that a great, mace-bearing warrior charges forward; upon witnessing this, all the troops on the battlefield experience a rising thrill and excitement, signaling a swelling intensity in the ongoing combat.
