ईदृशो5पि बलौघस्तु संयुक्त: शस्त्रसम्पदा । वध्यते यत्र संग्रामे किमन्यद् भागधेयत:
īdṛśo 'pi balaughas tu saṁyuktaḥ śastra-sampadā | vadhyate yatra saṅgrāme kim anyad bhāgadhayataḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: “Ngay cả khối quân đông đảo đến thế, dẫu được trang bị đầy đủ vũ khí và mọi nguồn lực chiến trận, vẫn đang bị chém ngã trong chiến đấu. Ngoài định mệnh—phần số đã được phân định cho mỗi người—còn có thể có nguyên do nào khác?”
