Duryodhana’s Anxiety, Bhīṣma’s Reassurance, and Renewed Mobilization

The verse highlights the astonishing intensity and skill displayed in battle, as narrated by Sañjaya. Ethically, it underscores how warfare magnifies prowess and shock, yet remains embedded in the tragic momentum of the Kurukṣetra conflict where even the young and valiant are relentlessly targeted.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Lakṣmaṇa, like others before him, struck Abhimanyu (Saubhadra) with sharp arrows, wounding him; the feat is described as appearing wondrous.
