भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः
Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify
न हि पश्यामि त॑ वीरं यो मे रक्षेत् सुतान् रणे
na hi paśyāmi taṁ vīraṁ yo me rakṣet sutān raṇe
Dhṛtarāṣṭra nói: “Quả thật, ta không thấy một dũng sĩ nào có thể bảo vệ các con ta nơi chiến địa.” Trong lời thú nhận đầy bất an ấy, sự luyến ái của vị vua mù dành cho con và nỗi sợ trước hệ quả đạo lý lẫn thực tiễn của cuộc chiến cùng trỗi dậy, hé lộ sự mong manh của quyền lực khi đặt trên thiên vị chứ không trên dharma.
