Daiva–Puruṣakāra Discourse and the Elephant-Corps Engagement (भीमगजानीक-सम्भ्रान्ति)
धृष्टय्युम्नस्तु तं दृष्टवा कलिज्ञैः समभिद्रुतम् । भीमसेनममेयात्मा त्राणायाजौ समभ्ययात्
dhṛṣṭadyumnas tu taṃ dṛṣṭvā kaliṅgaiḥ samabhidrutam | bhīmasenam ameyātmā trāṇāyājau samabhyayāt ||
Sañjaya thưa: Thấy Bhīmasena bị các chiến binh Kaliṅga ào tới tấn công dữ dội, Dhṛṣṭadyumna—bậc có khí phách khôn lường—liền tiến lên chiến địa để che chở cho chàng. Cảnh ấy nêu rõ đạo lý kṣatriya: đứng bên đồng minh lúc nguy nan, nơi lòng dũng cảm không chỉ là đơn độc xông pha mà còn là kịp thời hộ vệ chiến hữu.
