अध्याय ५५ — भीष्मस्य प्रचण्डविक्रमः, अर्जुनप्रत्युत्तरं, कृष्णस्य चक्रोद्यतिः
Chapter 55: Bhīṣma’s onslaught, Arjuna’s counter, and Kṛṣṇa’s raised discus
भीष्म: सैन्येन महता समन्तात् परिवारित: । ययौ प्रकर्षन् महतीं वाहिनीं सुरराडिव,तदनन्तर बहुत बड़ी सेनाद्वारा सब ओरसे घिरे हुए भीष्म देवराज इन्द्रकी भाँति विशाल वाहिनी साथ लिये आगे-आगे चले
bhīṣmaḥ sainyena mahatā samantāt parivāritaḥ | yayau prakarṣan mahatīṃ vāhinīṃ surarāḍ iva |
Sañjaya thưa: “Dẫu bị một đại quân vây bọc bốn phía, Bhīṣma vẫn tiến lên, kéo theo một đạo binh hùng hậu—tựa Indra, vua của chư thiên.”
