गभस्तिभिरिवादित्यस्तस्थौ शरमरीचिमान् | जैसे सर्दीके अन्तमें सूर्यदेव धरतीका जल सोखने लगते हैं

Sañjaya nói: Bhīṣma đứng đó như Mặt Trời, rực rỡ những tia sáng—mũi tên của ngài tựa quang tuyến. Như mặt trời cuối mùa đông dường như hút cạn hơi ẩm của đất, Bhīṣma cũng như đang rút lấy chính sinh khí của các chiến binh, phủ trùm chiến địa bằng ánh huy hoàng không thể cưỡng và sức sát phạt chí mạng.
