Evening Withdrawal after Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
अभ्यधावज्जिघांसन् वै शल्यं मद्राधिपं बली । उस बलवान वीरने इन्द्रधनुषके समान अपने विशाल शरासनको कानोंतक खींचकर मद्रराज शल्यको मार डालनेकी इच्छासे उनपर धावा किया ।। ४४ ई ।। महता रथवंशेन समन्तात् परिवारित:
sañjaya uvāca | abhyadhāvaj jighāṃsan vai śalyaṃ madrādhipaṃ balī | mahata rathavaṃśena samantāt parivāritaḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: Dũng sĩ ấy lao thẳng tới, quyết giết Śalya—chúa tể xứ Madra. Bị một đội chiến xa lớn vây quanh bốn phía, chàng vẫn xung phong—kéo cây cung rộng lớn đến tận tai—bị thôi thúc bởi ý chí dữ dội của chiến trường, nơi ý định và bản lĩnh va chạm với sức nặng đạo lý của bổn phận và tội lỗi giết người thân tộc.
