भीष्मविक्रमदर्शनं तथा क्रौञ्चारुणव्यूहविधानम् | Bhīṣma’s Ascendancy and the Organization of the Krauñcāruṇa Formation

न तदस्ति पृथिव्यां वा दिवि देवेषु वा पुन: । सत्त्वं प्रकृतिजैर्मुक्ते यदेभि: स्यात्‌ त्रिभिर्गुणै:,पृथ्वीमें या आकाशमें अथवा देवताओंमें तथा इनके सिवा और कहीं भी ऐसा कोई भी सत्त्व नहीं है, जो प्रकृतिसे उत्पन्न इन तीनों गुणोंसे रहित हो£

na tad asti pṛthivyāṃ vā divi deveṣu vā punaḥ | sattvaṃ prakṛtijair muktaṃ yad ebhiḥ syāt tribhir guṇaiḥ ||

Không có gì ở bất cứ đâu—trên mặt đất, trên cõi trời, hay ngay cả giữa chư thiên—tồn tại mà thoát khỏi ba phẩm tính do Tự Nhiên sinh ra. Mọi hữu tình, ở bất kỳ nơi nào, đều tất yếu bị định hình và ràng buộc bởi ba sợi guṇa ấy.
