ततो द्रोणाय निहतं भीष्ममाचष्ट कौरव: । द्रोणस्तत्राप्रियं श्रुत्वा मुमोह भरतर्षभ

Transliteration

tato droṇāya nihataṃ bhīṣmam ācāṣṭa kauravaḥ | droṇas tatrāpriyaṃ śrutvā mumoha bharatarṣabha ||

Translation

Sañjaya nói: Rồi một người Kaurava báo với Droṇa rằng Bhīṣma đã bị giết. Nghe tin dữ ấy ngay giữa chiến địa, Droṇa bàng hoàng đến ngất lịm—bởi sự sụp đổ của bậc lão tổ, trụ cột của dharma và kỷ cương võ đạo, là nỗi đau lớn lao ngay cả trong cuộc chiến bị adharma thúc đẩy này.
