न चक्कुस्ते रुजं तस्य स्वर्णपड्खा: शिलाशिता: । महारथी शिखण्डीने जिन महान् बाणोंका प्रयोग किया था
sañjaya uvāca | na cākkuṣṭe rujaṃ tasya svarṇapakṣāḥ śilāśitāḥ |
Sañjaya nói: Thế nhưng những mũi tên ấy—cánh vàng, mài sắc trên đá—vẫn không thể gây ra vết thương hay đau đớn nào trên thân Bhīṣma. Lời kể nhấn mạnh sự kiên định phi thường và ý chí như được thần lực che chở của Bhīṣma giữa bạo lực chiến tranh, nơi tài nghệ võ trận đơn thuần tỏ ra bất lực trước một đời sống neo chặt vào thệ nguyện, dharma và thời khắc đã định.
