रथाग्न्यगारशक्षापार्चिरसिशक्तिगदेन्धन: । शरसंघमहाज्वाल: क्षत्रियान्‌ समरेडदहत्‌

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

rathāgnyagāraśaṣkāpārcirasiśaktigadendhanaḥ |

śarasaṅghamahājvālaḥ kṣatriyān samare ’dahat ||

Translation

Sañjaya nói: Trong trận ấy, tựa như một ngọn lửa rực cháy đang thiêu đốt các kṣatriya. Chiến xa như nhà lửa; cung như lưỡi lửa; gươm, giáo và chùy làm củi; còn mưa tên tụ lại thành ngọn đại hỏa—một hình tượng về sức tàn phá của chiến tranh, nơi võ công hóa thành biển lửa thử thách tận cùng kṣatriya-dharma.
