भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः
Arjuna and Bhima’s pressure; escalation toward Bhishma
एष चापि नरव्याप्रो मत्कृते जीवितं त्यजेत् । एष न: समयस्तात तारयेम परस्परम्,'ये पुरुषसिंह अर्जुन भी मेरे लिये अपने प्राणोंतकका परित्याग कर सकते हैं। तात! हमलोगोंमें यह प्रतिज्ञा हो चुकी है कि हम एक-दूसरेको संकटसे उबारेंगे
eṣa cāpi naravyāpro matkṛte jīvitaṃ tyajet | eṣa naḥ samayas tāta tārayema parasparam ||
Sañjaya nói: “Vị anh hùng ấy, luôn hăng hái trong chí khí nam nhi, vì ta mà có thể bỏ cả mạng sống. Người thân mến, đó là giao ước của chúng ta: sẽ cứu nhau khỏi hiểm nguy.”
