भीष्मरथाभिमुख्यं — Arjuna’s advance with Śikhaṇḍin; Duḥśāsana’s interception
तत्रासीत् सुमहद् युद्ध तव तेषां च संकुलम् | नराश्वरथनागानां यमराष्ट्रविवर्धनम्
tatrāsīt sumahad yuddhaṁ tava teṣāṁ ca saṅkulam | narāśvarathanāgānāṁ yamarāṣṭravivardhanam ||
Sañjaya thưa: Tại đó bùng lên một trận hỗn chiến vô cùng lớn và rối loạn giữa quân của bệ hạ và quân của họ—bộ binh, kỵ binh, chiến xa và tượng binh—một cuộc chiến làm phình to cõi của thần Yama, vì nó đưa vô số người vào cái chết.
