Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
द्रव्यागमो नृणां सूक्ष्म: पात्रे दानं ततः परम्
dravyāgamo nṛṇāṃ sūkṣmaḥ; pātre dānaṃ tataḥ param | kālād api śraddhā śreṣṭhā; svargadvāraṃ tu sūkṣmam ||
Người cha vợ nói: “Đối với con người, việc nhận biết phương cách kiếm được của cải một cách công chính là điều vi tế khó lường. Nhưng cao hơn nữa là đem của cải ấy phụng sự và dâng hiến cho bậc xứng đáng thọ nhận. Tốt hơn việc bố thí vào lúc thường là bố thí vào thời điểm tốt lành; song còn lớn hơn cả thời điểm là lòng tin (śraddhā). Cửa trời vô cùng vi tế—con người vì mê lầm bởi luyến ái mà không thể nhận ra.”
