Arjuna and Ulūpī: Explanation of Śānti and the Maṇipūra Resolution
युधिष्ठटिरस्य संदेशो न हन्तव्या नूपा इति । तेन जीवसि राजंस्त्वमपराद्धो5पि मे रणे
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Yudhiṣṭhirasya saṃdeśo na hantavyā nṛpā iti | tena jīvasi rājan tvam aparāddho 'pi me raṇe ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Đây là mệnh lệnh của Yudhiṣṭhira: ‘Không được giết các bậc quân vương.’ Vì thế, hỡi vua, dẫu ngươi đã xúc phạm ta trong trận chiến, ngươi vẫn còn sống—bởi ta đã hành xử theo lời răn ấy.”
