Āśvamedha-dīkṣā-nirdeśaḥ — Scheduling the Initiation and Assigning Protection for the Horse
युधिष्ठिरो धर्मसुतो व्यासं वचनमत्रवीत् | फिर वृष्णि एवं अन्धकवंशी वीरोंके साथ वे उनकी सेवामें बैठ गये। वहाँ नाना प्रकारकी बातें करके धर्मपुत्र युधिष्ठिरने व्यासजीसे इस प्रकार कहा--
yudhiṣṭhiro dharmasuto vyāsaṃ vacanam atravīt |
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Yudhiṣṭhira, con của Dharma, đã thưa lời cùng hiền triết Vyāsa. Rồi ngài, cùng các dũng sĩ dòng Vṛṣṇi và họ Andhaka, ngồi hầu bên cạnh. Sau khi đàm đạo nhiều điều, Dharmaputra Yudhiṣṭhira nói với Vyāsa như sau—mở đầu cho lời chỉ giáo đặt nền trên dharma và phép tắc chính đáng.”
