Marutta Seeks Saṃvarta’s Priestly Support; Conditions, Truth-Discipline, and Rival Powers
व्यास उवाच श्र॒त्वा तु पार्थिवस्यैतत् संवर्त: प्रमुदं गत: । एतावदहमप्येवं शक्नुयामिति सोडब्रवीत्,व्यासजी कहते हैं--राजन्! राजाकी यह बात सुनकर संवर्तको बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई और बोले--“इतना तो मैं भी कर सकता हूँ
vyāsa uvāca śrutvā tu pārthivasyaitat saṁvartaḥ pramudaṁ gataḥ | etāvad aham apy evaṁ śaknuyām iti so ’bravīt ||
Vyāsa nói: Nghe lời ấy của nhà vua, Saṁvarta vô cùng hoan hỷ và đáp: “Chừng ấy thôi—ta cũng làm được.”
व्यास उवाच
A righteous undertaking gains strength when leadership is firm and transparent; such resolve naturally elicits joyful cooperation from capable allies, who recognize the task as achievable and worthy.
Vyāsa narrates that Saṁvarta hears the king’s statement, becomes pleased, and responds that he too can accomplish at least that much—signaling readiness to assist and confidence in the proposed action.
