अद्यैव नक्षत्रमहश्न पुण्यं यतामहे श्रेष्ठतमक्रियासु । अम्भोभिरद्येह वसाम राज- न्नुपोष्यतां चापि भवद्धिरद्य

Transliteration

adyaiva nakṣatra-mahaś ca puṇyaṃ yatāmahe śreṣṭhatama-kriyāsu | ambhobhir adyeha vasāma rājan upoṣyatāṃ cāpi bhavadbhir adya ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana nói: “Tâu Đại vương, chính hôm nay là lúc có chòm sao cát tường và ngày thánh thiện. Vậy xin hãy bắt đầu ngay hôm nay nỗ lực hướng đến những nghi lễ tối thượng. Phần chúng tôi, hôm nay sẽ ở đây chỉ uống nước; còn bệ hạ cũng nên giữ trai giới trong ngày hôm nay.”
