नोपागच्छन्त वै शान्तिमभिमन्युविनाकृता: । वे सबके सब अत्यन्त दुःखसे संतप्त थे। उन्हें शान्ति नहीं मिलती थी। उसी प्रकार हस्तिनापुरमें वीर पाण्डव भी अभिमन्युसे रहित होकर शान्ति नहीं पाते थे

na upāgacchanti vai śāntim abhimanyu-vinākṛtāḥ |

Vaiśampāyana nói: Vắng Abhimanyu, họ không thể đạt được an bình. Tất thảy đều bị thiêu đốt bởi nỗi sầu khổ dữ dội; sự tĩnh lặng chẳng đến với họ. Cũng vậy, tại Hastināpura, các dũng sĩ Pāṇḍava, khi thiếu Abhimanyu, cũng không sao tìm được bình an.
