Educational Q&A

A person of steady, purified judgment does not lose inner balance when misfortune arrives; grief should be restrained through dharmic understanding, including acceptance of the soul’s onward journey and the fruits of valor.

Vaiśampāyana offers consolation to a grieving listener by affirming Abhimanyu’s attainment of heaven and by stating a general ethical principle: the wise do not become despondent in adversity.
