Abhimanyu’s Śrāddha; Vyāsa’s Assurance of the Unborn Heir (अभिमन्योः श्राद्धं तथा गर्भरक्षणोपदेशः)
स हि कृष्ण महातेजा: श्लाघन्निव ममाग्रत:
sa hi kṛṣṇa mahātejāḥ ślāghann iva mamāgrataḥ
Bởi Kṛṣṇa, bậc đại uy quang rực rỡ ấy, đã cất lời ngay trước mặt ta như thể đang tán dương—lời nói mang sức nặng của uy quyền, và sự sáng tỏ của đạo lý.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The line underscores Kṛṣṇa’s moral and spiritual authority: his speech is presented as weighty and exemplary, as if it were praise that simultaneously guides conduct. The narrative framing highlights how dharmic counsel is delivered with dignity and persuasive restraint.
Vaiśampāyana, as narrator, points to Kṛṣṇa’s presence and manner of speaking—describing him as radiant and powerful, and noting that he spoke before the narrator (or in the immediate assembly), seemingly in a praising tone, setting up or continuing a significant address.
