उन दोनोंने उन महाबाहु श्रीकृष्णको अपनी छातीसे लगा लिया और मीठे वचनोंद्वारा उन्हें सान्त्वना दी। इसके बाद सभी वृष्णिवंशी उनको घेरकर आस-पास बैठ गये
sa viśrānto mahātejāḥ kṛtapādāvanejanaḥ | kathayāmāsa tat sarvaṁ pṛṣṭaḥ pitrā mahāhavam ||
Khi đấng Śrī Kṛṣṇa uy dũng, rực rỡ đã rửa tay rửa chân và an nghỉ, rồi theo lời phụ thân hỏi han, Ngài thuật lại trọn vẹn toàn bộ diễn tiến của đại chiến ấy. Cảnh tượng này đặt hậu quả của bạo lực trong khuôn phép thanh tẩy nghi lễ, sự điềm tĩnh và lời nói chân thật—như nhắc rằng sau thảm họa chiến tranh, con người phải trở về với tiết chế, minh triết và lời nói có trách nhiệm trước bậc trưởng thượng.
