Uttaṅka’s Petition for Madayantī’s Divine Earrings (Maṇikuṇḍala) — Agreement, Proof, and Vigilance
उत्तडुक उवाच भवद्गतेन मनसा भवत्प्रियचिकीर्षया । भवद्धक्तिगतेनेह भवद्धावानुगेन च
uttaḍuka uvāca: bhavad-gatena manasā bhavat-priya-cikīrṣayā | bhavad-bhakti-gateneha bhavad-dhāvānugena ca ||
Uttaḍuka nói: “Bạch Thầy tôn kính! Tâm con luôn gắn chặt nơi Thầy, chỉ một lòng mong làm điều khiến Thầy hoan hỷ. Con ở lại đây phụng sự Thầy, theo sát Thầy với lòng quyến luyến bền chặt. Chìm trong lòng sùng kính đối với Thầy, con chẳng tìm cầu lạc thú thế gian, đến cả tuổi già kéo đến cũng không hay biết. Dẫu con đã ở đây tròn một trăm năm, Thầy vẫn chưa ban phép cho con trở về nhà.”
