या मे सम्भावना तात त्वयि नित्यमवर्तत । अपि सा सफला तात कृता ते भरतान्‌ प्रति

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

yā me sambhāvanā tāta tvayi nityam avartata |

api sā saphalā tāta kṛtā te bharatān prati ||

Vaiśampāyana nói: “Con yêu, ta hằng ôm giữ niềm hy vọng nơi con: rằng nhờ nỗ lực của con, sự hòa giải sẽ nảy sinh giữa Kaurava và Pāṇḍava. Này con, niềm hy vọng ấy của ta đối với dòng dõi Bharata—con đã làm cho thành tựu rồi chăng?”
