समासाद्य तु राजानं वार्ष्णेयकुरुपुड़वी । निषीदतुरनुज्ञातौ प्रीयमाणेन तेन तौ

Transliteration

samāsādya tu rājānaṃ vārṣṇeya-kuru-puṅgavau | niṣīdatūr anujñātau prīyamāṇena tena tau ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana nói: Khi hai bậc anh hùng bậc nhất—Vārṣṇeya (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) và “hùng ngưu” của dòng Kuru (Arjuna)—đến gần nhà vua, ngài vô cùng hoan hỷ khi trông thấy họ. Theo lời cho phép của vua, hai người bạn liền an tọa trên những chỗ ngồi được dâng, giữ trọn lễ nghi triều đình và tình thâm giao hảo.
