Marutta–Indra Rivalry and Bṛhaspati’s Priestly Refusal (मरुत्तेन्द्रस्पर्धा—बृहस्पतेः पौरोहित्यनिश्चयः)

तस्य वासवतुल्यो< भून्मरुत्तो नाम वीर्यवान्‌ | पुत्रस्तमनुरक्ता भूत्‌ पृथिवी सागराम्बरा

tasya vāsavatulyo 'bhūn marutto nāma vīryavān | putras tam anuraktā bhūt pṛthivī sāgarāmbarā ||

Vyāsa nói: “Con trai ông, tên Marutta, là bậc anh hùng hùng lực, ngang với Vāsava (Indra) về uy dũng. Toàn cõi địa cầu—được đại dương bao quanh như áo choàng—đều một lòng mến phục ông,” ngụ ý rằng sức mạnh và sự trị vì chính nghĩa đã khiến muôn dân tự nguyện quy thuận.
