Book 14, Chapter 43

भगदेवानुयातानां सर्वासां वामलोचना । माहेश्वरी महादेवी प्रोच्यते पार्वती हि सा

bhagadevānuyātānāṁ sarvāsāṁ vāmalocanā | māheśvarī mahādevī procyate pārvatī hi sā ||

Vāyu nói: “Trong hết thảy những người nữ mà kẻ mang dục vọng đuổi theo, bậc tối thượng là người có đôi mắt đẹp—đấng được xưng là Māheśvarī, Mahādevī, và quả thật là Pārvatī. Hãy biết Umā-devī cát tường ấy là bậc nhất trong hàng nữ giới; còn trong những người nữ được tìm cầu vì lạc thú, các Apsarā trang sức bằng vàng là bậc trội hơn cả.”
