brāhmaṇy uvāca | nedam alpātmanā śakyaṁ vedituṁ nākṛtātmanā | bahu cālpaṁ ca saṁkṣiptaṁ viplutaṁ ca mataṁ mama ||

Người phụ nữ Bà-la-môn thưa: “Điều này không thể được hiểu đúng bởi kẻ nội lực yếu ớt, cũng không bởi người chưa tự điều phục. Điều con nắm được vừa nhiều lại vừa ít—bị nén trong lời ngắn—nên sự hiểu biết của con rời rạc và bất an.”
