अम्बरीषगाथा—गुणत्रयविभागः तथा लोभनिग्रहः
Ambarīṣa’s Gāthā: The Guṇas and the Restraint of Greed
स तैर्गुणैः संहतदेहबन्धन: पुन: पुनर्जायति कर्म चेहते । जन्मक्षये भिन्नविकीर्णदेहो मृत्युं पुनर्गच्छति जन्मनैव
sa tair guṇaiḥ saṃhatadeha-bandhanaḥ punaḥ punar jāyati karma cehate | janma-kṣaye bhinna-vikīrṇa-deho mṛtyuṃ punaḥ gacchati janmanā eva ||
Bị trói chặt trong xiềng xích thân xác do các guṇa ấy dệt nên, hữu tình cứ sinh đi sinh lại và tiếp tục gắng sức trong hành nghiệp ở đời này. Khi tuổi thọ của kiếp ấy cạn, các yếu tố của thân thể tan rã, rời rạc và tản mác, người ấy gặp cái chết; và chính bởi tiến trình ấy, lại rơi vào vòng sinh tử một lần nữa.
