अध्वर्यु–यति संवादः

Adhvaryu–Yati Dialogue on Svabhāva, Ahiṃsā, and Mokṣa

अहिंसेति प्रतिज्ञेयं यदि वक्ष्याम्यत: परम्‌ | शक्यं बहुविध॑ कर्तु भवता कार्यदूषणम्‌

ahiṃseti pratijñeyaṃ yadi vakṣyāmy ataḥ param | śakyaṃ bahuvidhaṃ kartuṃ bhavatā kāryadūṣaṇam ||

Vị Bà-la-môn nói: “Nếu còn phải nói thêm, thì ta chỉ nói điều này: hãy lập một lời thệ nguyện kiên cố—‘Ta sẽ thực hành dharma của bất bạo hại.’ Bằng không, từ hành vi của ông có thể phát sinh muôn thứ lỗi lầm và sự hoen ố của bổn phận.”
