Yudhiṣṭhira’s Grief, Kṛṣṇa’s Consolation, and Vyāsa’s Admonition (युधिष्ठिरशोक-निवारणोपदेशः)

Educational Q&A

Do not imitate the behavior of the deluded; uphold dharma by following the proven ancestral standard of conduct and accepting the responsibilities of governance.

In Vaiśaṃpāyana’s narration, counsel is being given to a ruler/leader to reject misguided popular behavior and instead assume the royal burden by adhering to the righteous tradition of his lineage.
