व्यास उवाच ततो गत्वा धृतराष्ट्रो नरेन्द्र प्रोवाचेदं वचनं वासवस्य,व्यासजी कहते हैं--तब गन्धर्वराज धृतराष्ट्र राजा मरुत्तके पास गये और उनसे इन्द्रका संदेश इस प्रकार कहने लगे--“महाराज! आपको विदित हो कि मैं धृतराष्ट्र नामक गन्धर्व हूँ और आपको देवराज इन्द्रका संदेश सुनाने आया हूँ। राजसिंह! सम्पूर्ण लोकोंके स्वामी महामना इन्द्रने जो कुछ कहा है, उनका वह वाक्य सुनिये
vyāsa uvāca | tato gatvā dhṛtarāṣṭro narendra provācedaṃ vacanaṃ vāsavasya |
Vyāsa nói: Bấy giờ Dhṛtarāṣṭra, vua của loài Gandharva, đến gặp vua Marutta và truyền đạt lời của Vāsava (Indra) như sau: “Tâu Đại vương, xin biết cho: ta là Gandharva tên Dhṛtarāṣṭra, đến để chuyển sứ điệp của Indra, chúa tể chư thiên. Hỡi sư tử giữa các bậc quân vương, xin lắng nghe lời của Indra, bậc đại tâm, chủ tể của muôn cõi.”
