धृतराष्ट्रस्य पाण्डवेषु प्रीति-वृत्तान्तः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Affectionate Disposition toward the Pāṇḍavas

गान्धार्याश्रैव राजेन्द्र तदनुज्ञातुमरहसि । “वे सब युद्धमें सम्मुख मारे गये हैं

gāndhāryāś caiva rājendra tad anu jñātum arhasi |

Dhṛtarāṣṭra nói: “Hỡi bậc vương giả tối thượng, xin hãy ban phép cho ta và Gandhārī. Tất cả các con của chúng ta đã ngã xuống khi đối diện kẻ thù trong chiến trận, nên đã đạt đến những cõi giới dành cho người chết khi còn mang vũ khí. Nay, vì lợi ích tối hậu của chính mình, Gandhārī và ta phải thực hành khổ hạnh thanh tịnh; vậy xin hãy cho phép chúng ta.”
