धृतराष्ट्रस्य पाण्डवेषु प्रीति-वृत्तान्तः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Affectionate Disposition toward the Pāṇḍavas

समतीता नृशंसास्ते स्वधर्मेण हता युधि । न तेषु प्रतिकर्तव्यं पश्यामि कुरुनन्दन,“कुरुनन्दन! जिन्होंने द्रौपदीके साथ अत्याचार किया, तुम्हारे ऐश्वर्यका अपहरण किया, वे क्रूरकर्मी मेरे पुत्र क्षत्रियधर्मके अनुसार युद्धमें मारे गये हैं। अब उनके लिये कुछ करनेकी आवश्यकता नहीं दिखायी देती है

Transliteration

samatītā nṛśaṃsās te svadharmeṇa hatā yudhi | na teṣu pratikartavyaṃ paśyāmi kurunandana ||

Translation

“Hỡi Kurunandana, những kẻ tàn bạo ấy nay đã qua rồi; họ đã bị giết trong chiến trận theo chính bổn phận kṣatriya của mình. Ta không thấy cần phải làm gì thêm cho họ.”
