धृतराष्ट्रदर्शनाय पाण्डवानां प्रयाणम् | The Pāṇḍavas Prepare to Visit Dhṛtarāṣṭra
स मामुवाच तिग्मांशुर्वथा55द्वानं न मे क्षमम् । थक्ष्यामि त्वां च विप्रं च येन दत्तो वरस्तव,तब उन प्रचण्डरश्मि सूर्यने मुझसे कहा--“मेरा आवाहन व्यर्थ नहीं हो सकता। तुम कोई-न-कोई वर अवश्य माँग लो अन्यथा मैं तुमको और जिसने तुम्हें वर दिया है, उस ब्राह्मणगको भी भस्म कर डालूँगा'
sa mām uvāca tigmāṁśur yathāhvānaṁ na me kṣamam | bhasmīkariṣyāmi tvāṁ ca vipraṁ ca yena datto varas tava ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Bấy giờ Thần Mặt Trời, với những tia sáng dữ dội, phán cùng ta: “Lời triệu gọi của ta không thể trở thành vô ích. Ngươi nhất định phải xin một ân huệ; bằng không, ta sẽ thiêu thành tro cả ngươi lẫn vị Bà-la-môn đã ban ân huệ này cho ngươi.”
