अध्याय १५ (Āśramavāsika-parva): धृतराष्ट्रस्य वनवासानुज्ञायाचनम् — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s renewed plea for consent to forest-dwelling
कृपं निवर्तयामास युयुत्सुं च महारथम् । धृतराष्ट्री महीपाल: परिदाप्य युधिष्ठिरे,महाराज धुृतराष्ट्रने कृपाचार्य और महारथी युयुत्सुको युधिष्ठिरके हाथों सौंपकर लौटाया
kṛpaṃ nivartayāmāsa yuyutsuṃ ca mahāratham | dhṛtarāṣṭrī mahīpālaḥ paridāpya yudhiṣṭhire ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Vua Dhṛtarāṣṭra, sau khi cho Kṛpa và dũng tướng xa chiến Yuyutsu trở về, đã quay lui—trao phó họ dưới tay Yudhiṣṭhira. Sự việc ấy nêu rõ cuộc thoái lui cuối cùng của Dhṛtarāṣṭra khỏi những ràng buộc vương quyền, và ý nguyện đặt các bậc trưởng lão cùng đồng minh thân tín dưới sự che chở của vị vua đang trị vì theo chính pháp, để sự xuất ly của riêng mình hòa hợp với bổn phận và dharma.
