Speech-Ethics and Forbearance in the Celestial Court
तमेकं रहिते दृष्टवा शर्मिष्ठा चारुहासिनी । प्रत्युदगम्याञ्जलिं कृत्वा राजानं वाक्यमब्रवीत्,मनोहर हासवाली शर्मिष्ठाने उन्हें एकान्तमें अकेला देख आगे बढ़कर उनकी अगवानी की तथा हाथ जोड़कर राजासे यह बात कही
tam ekaṁ rahite dṛṣṭvā śarmiṣṭhā cāru-hāsinī | pratyudgamyāñjaliṁ kṛtvā rājānaṁ vākyam abravīt ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Thấy nhà vua ở một mình nơi vắng vẻ, Śarmiṣṭhā—nụ cười dịu ngọt—bước tới nghênh đón. Chắp tay cung kính, nàng thưa với vua bằng lời lẽ chừng mực, giữ vẻ khiêm cung dù tình thế đã hàm chứa những hệ lụy riêng tư và đạo lý.
