ययाति-देवयानी-शर्मिष्ठा विवादः — Śukra’s Curse and the Disclosure of Lineage
त्वरया निर्ययौ दुःखान्मार्गमाण: सुतां वने | दृष्टवा दुहितरं काव्यो देवयानीं ततो वने
tvarayā niryayau duḥkhān mārgamāṇaḥ sutāṃ vane | dṛṣṭvā duhitaram kāvyo devayānīṃ tato vane ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Vội vã và đau đớn, Kāvya (Śukrācārya) lên đường, tìm kiếm con gái trong rừng. Rồi giữa chốn rừng sâu, ông trông thấy con gái mình, Devayānī.”
