Chapter 74: Non-anger, Forbearance, and the Ethics of Residence
संरम्भामर्षताम्राक्षी स्फुरमाणौष्ठसम्पुटा । कटाक्षनिर्दिहन्तीव तिर्यगू राजानमैक्षत,क्रोध और अमर्षसे उसकी आँखें लाल हो गयीं, ओठ फड़कने लगे और मानो जला देगी, इस भावसे टेढ़ी चितवनद्वारा राजाकी ओर देखने लगी

Dushyanta nói: “Đôi mắt nàng đỏ rực vì xao động và cơn giận bị xúc phạm, môi run lên; nàng liếc xéo về phía nhà vua—như thể chính ánh nhìn ấy có thể thiêu đốt người.”
दुष्यन्त उवाच
The verse highlights how inner states like indignation and agitation manifest outwardly and can become morally forceful: a mere glance can function as censure. In the Mahabharataas ethical world, such visible anger signals a breach of trust and warns the king that his conduct is being judged.
Dushyanta describes a womanas reaction: her eyes redden with offended anger, her lips tremble, and she looks at the king with a scorching sidelong glance, conveying intense reproach and confrontation.
