श्रियस्तु भाग: संजज्ञे रत्यर्थ पृथिवीतले । भीष्मकस्य कुले साध्वी रुक्मिणी नाम नामत:,नारायणस्वरूप भगवान् श्रीकृष्णको आनन्द प्रदान करनेके लिये भूतलपर विदर्भराज भीष्मकके कुलमें सती-साध्वी रुक्मिणीदेवीके नामसे लक्ष्मीजीका ही अंश प्रकट हुआ था
Transliteration
śriyastu bhāgaḥ saṃjajñe ratyarthaṃ pṛthivītale | bhīṣmakasya kule sādhvī rukmiṇī nāma nāmataḥ ||
Translation
Vaiśampāyana nói: Để đem niềm vui và phúc lành cho cõi đời trên mặt đất, một phần của Śrī (Lakṣmī) đã giáng sinh, hiện thân trong dòng dõi cao quý của Bhīṣmaka thành người phụ nữ đức hạnh mang tên Rukmiṇī.
