Śakuntalā-Janma-Nāmakaraṇa (Birth and Naming of Śakuntalā) | शकुन्तला-जन्म-नामकरणम्
तस्मिन् नियुक्ते विधिना योगक्षेमाय भार्गवे । अन्यमुत्पादयामास पुत्र भूगुरनिन्दितम्,ब्रह्माजीने जब भृगुपुत्र शुक्रको जगत्के योगक्षेमके कार्यमें नियुक्त कर दिया, तब महर्षि भृगुने एक दूसरे निर्दोष पुत्रको जन्म दिया
tasmin niyukte vidhinā yogakṣemāya bhārgave | anyam utpādayāmāsa putraṃ bhṛgur aninditam ||
Khi vị Bhārgava ấy được bổ nhiệm đúng theo pháp độ để trông coi phúc lợi và an ninh của các thế giới, hiền thánh Bhṛgu liền sinh thêm một người con khác—trong sạch, không tì vết—để dòng thánh và trách nhiệm của nó được tiếp nối không gián đoạn.
