आवयोर्दष्टयोरेभि: कथं तु स्थात् समागम: । एवं तयोक्तो भगवान् नीहारमसूजत् प्रभु:,“और हम दोनोंको देख रहे हैं। ऐसी दशामें हमारा समागम कैसे हो सकता है?” उसके ऐसा कहनेपर शक्तिशाली भगवान् पराशरने कुहरेकी सृष्टि की
āvayor dṛṣṭayor ebhiḥ kathaṃ tu sthāt samāgamaḥ | evaṃ tayokto bhagavān nīhāram asūjat prabhuḥ |
Nàng nói: “Khi chúng đang nhìn chúng ta, làm sao cuộc gặp gỡ ấy có thể xảy ra?” Được nói như vậy, hiền giả Parāśara—bậc hùng lực, làm chủ thần thông—liền tạo ra một màn sương mù, che khuất ánh nhìn của người đời.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how social visibility and propriety can become ethical constraints, and how extraordinary power is used to remove practical obstacles; it also invites reflection on secrecy, accountability, and the moral weight of actions done away from public view.
A woman objects that their union cannot occur because others are watching. In response, the sage Parāśara uses his spiritual power to generate a fog, concealing them from onlookers.
