कुरुवंशप्रश्नः—दुःषन्तस्य राजधर्मवर्णनम्
Kuru Lineage Inquiry and the Portrait of King Duḥṣanta’s Rule
स भवान् विस्तरेणेमां पुनराख्यातुम्हति । न हि तृप्यामि पूर्वेषां शृण्वानश्वरितं महत्,विप्रवर! आप पुन: पूरे विस्तारके साथ यह कथा सुनावें। मैं अपने पूर्वजोंके इस महान् चरित्रको सुनते-सुनते तृप्त नहीं हो रहा हूँ
sa bhavān vistareṇemāṃ punar ākhyātum arhati | na hi tṛpyāmi pūrveṣāṃ śṛṇvann āścaritaṃ mahat, vipravara |
Hỡi bậc tôn kính, xin hãy thuật lại câu chuyện này một lần nữa, thật đầy đủ và tường tận. Bởi ta chẳng hề thấy thỏa khi cứ được nghe mãi những công hạnh lớn lao, kỳ diệu của tổ tiên ta, hỡi bậc tối thượng trong hàng Bà-la-môn.
