Vyāsa’s Arrival at Janamejaya’s Sarpasatra; Commissioning of Vaiśaṃpāyana’s Recital (व्यासागमनम्)
स तत्र वारितो द्वा:स्थै: प्रविशन् द्विजसत्तम: । अभितुष्टाव त॑ यज्ञ प्रवेशार्थी परंतप:
sa tatra vārito dvāḥsthaiḥ praviśan dvijasattamaḥ | abhituṣṭāva taṁ yajña-praveśārthī parantapaḥ ||
Tại đó, khi bậc tối thượng trong hàng Bà-la-môn sắp bước vào, ông bị lính gác cổng ngăn lại. Muốn được vào lễ tế, Āstīka—người thiêu đốt các kẻ thù nội tâm như dục vọng và sân hận—bèn cất lời tán dương yajña, dùng lời cung kính để xin nhập lễ thay vì cưỡng ép.
