भृगुवंश-प्रस्तावना तथा पुलोमा–अग्नि-संवादः

अथेमां वेददृष्टेन कर्मणा विधिपूर्वकम् । भायमिषिर्भगु: प्राप मां पुरस्कृत्य दानव,दानव! तदनन्तर महर्षि भृगुने मुझे साक्षी बनाकर वेदोक्त क्रियाद्वारा विधिपूर्वक इसका पाणिग्रहण किया था
athe māṁ vedadṛṣṭena karmaṇā vidhipūrvakam | bhāyam ṛṣir bhaguḥ prāpa māṁ puraskṛtya dānava dānava | tadanantaraṁ maharṣi-bhṛguṇe māṁ sākṣīṁ kṛtvā vedokta-kriyādvārā vidhipūrvakam asyāḥ pāṇigrahaṇaṁ kṛtam |
Rồi, đúng theo nghi lễ được Veda soi tỏ và được cử hành theo phép tắc, hiền thánh Bhagu đến trước ta, đặt ta làm chứng nhân ở hàng đầu. Sau đó, đại hiền Bhṛgu, lấy ta làm người chứng giám, đã cử hành hôn lễ của nàng một cách trang nghiêm theo nghi thức Veda.
