Jaratkāru’s Marital Compact and Departure (जरत्कारु–जरत्कारुणी संवादः)
परं मन्त्रबलं यत् ते तद् दर्शय यतस्व च । न्यग्रोधमेनं धक्ष्यामि पश्यतस्ते द्विजोत्तम,द्विजश्रेष्ठ! तुम्हारे पास जो उत्तम मन्त्रका बल है, उसे दिखाओ और यत्न करो। लो, तुम्हारे देखते-देखते इस वटवृक्षको मैं भस्म कर देता हूँ
paraṁ mantrabalaṁ yat te tad darśaya yatasva ca | nyagrodham enaṁ dhakṣyāmi paśyatas te dvijottama ||
Takṣaka nói: “Hãy cho ta thấy uy lực tối thượng của những thần chú ngươi nắm giữ—hãy gắng sức mà phô bày. Ngay trước mắt ngươi, hỡi bậc tối thượng trong hàng ‘nhị sinh’, ta sẽ thiêu cây đa này thành tro.”
