Jaratkāru-Pitṛdarśana
आविष्ट: स हि कोपेन शशाप नृपतिं तदा । वार्युपस्पृश्य तेजस्वी क्रोधवेगबलात्कृत:,वह तेजस्वी बालक रोषके आवेशमें आकर प्रचण्ड क्रोधके वेगसे युक्त हो गया था। उसने जलसे आचमन करके हाथमें जल लेकर उस समय राजा परीक्षितको इस प्रकार शाप दिया
āviṣṭaḥ sa hi kopena śaśāpa nṛpatiṃ tadā | vāryupaspṛśya tejasvī krodhavegabalātkṛtaḥ ||
Bị cơn giận chế ngự, cậu bé rực rỡ oai lực ấy liền buông lời nguyền rủa nhà vua. Trước hết, cậu súc miệng nhấp nước theo nghi lễ, rồi nâng nước trong tay và—bị sức mạnh cùng đà xung của phẫn nộ thúc đẩy—thốt lời trừng phạt nhắm vào vua Parīkṣit.
